It indicates separation, of course, but also a chance to choose, decide and therefore to express an opinion. In a wider context, it takes on the meaning of the maturation of a new experience, on which a decisive turning point depends (on a personal level, as well as on a social-historical level). In brief, it is the predisposing factor for change, which prepares the future settling on new bases."
