Silvio CATALANO a multi-skilled professional with over 25 years of international experience at the top of the hospitality sector, an expert in operations management, strategic marketing, sales and revenue management. Passionately committed to his job, Silvio has constantly updated his skills as the sector has evolved, specializing in the latest techniques in revenue, yield management, online marketing and social media marketing

After graduation, Silvio completed his training in CIGA Hotels, at Walt Disney in Florida and at the Hotel du Rhône in Switzerland. His professional career began in CIGA Hotels, with positions in both the operations and the sales departments. He then joined Charming Hotels, first as Director of Sales and then as Director of Marketing & Sales, significantly contributing to the creation and development of the brand. He left, as Executive Manager, with the brand firmly established.

There followed impressive successes, notably inauguration of the luxury boutique hotel The Inn at the Spanish Steps affiliated with Small Luxury Hotel of the World, before Catalano started a long and rewarding period as General Manager of the Splendide Royal Hotel in Rome, during which time he repositioned its image, boosted income by strengthening revenue flows and encouraged the Hotel’s Mirabelle Restaurant to earn a coveted Michelin star. At his departure, the Splendide Royal had emerged as an important point of reference in the panorama of Rome’s luxury hotels.

In 2011 he took up a new challenge on the Cote d’Azur, returning to his country of origin as General Manager of the Hotel Exedra Nice & Spa (Deep Nature by Biologique Recherche), affiliated to the Marriott Autograph Collection. He also held the position of Director of Sales and Marketing for the Boscolo Collection in France including, in Nice, the Hotel Exedra, the Hotel Plaza and the Hotel Park and in Lyon, the Grand Hotel. For the season 2021, he was in charge as interim General Manager of the Grand Hotel Miramare in Santa Margherita Ligure (Portofino, Italy) member of The Leading Hotels of the World.

 

Patrizia CIOTTI Communications expert, lecturer in Social Media Marketing and in the development and promotion of tourism and food and wine using digital platforms.

With more than 15 years of experience in marketing and communications for airline companies (Continental Airlines) and international hotel groups such as Westin Hotels, Forte Hotels, Le Meridien Hotels & Resorts, Preferred Hotel Group, as well as for the Italian Charming Hotels, Royal Demeure and SINA Hotels, she has broadened her activities to include the field of cultural heritage. For 8 years she has been head of communications of BAICR Sistema Cultura (Libraries and Archives Group, the Roman Cultural Institutes) and promoted the CulturaGastronomicaItaliana.it project, an online publication covering topics such as food, culinary traditions, food storage and food preservation.

More specifically, Patrizia created and organised events and initiatives in fine dining, style, fashion and taste, in partnership with prestigious brands including the Hotel Eden in Rome (now part of The Dorchester Collection) and for the Grand Hotel Palazzo della Fonte in Fiuggi. She also acted as communications advisor to CSC Caffè Speciali Certificati, a group that promotes and defends the quality processes of selection, roasting and grinding coffee, crucial for the Bar sector. As a journalist, she has written for many travel, wine and food magazines, such as Gambero Rosso and Dove.

Patrizia taught Social Media Marketing for the “innovative Marketing for E-Commerce in the food farming and Biological sector” course which was promoted by the Regione Lazio.

She was in charge of digital communications at the Grand Hotel Miramare in Santa Margherita Ligure (a founding member of The Leading Hotels of the World).

 

Gabriele MANZI is an expert in online marketing and digital strategies and has been fascinated since the birth of the Internet by search engine algorithms. Manzi was among the first in Italy to explore indexing and positioning techniques (SEO Search Engine Optimization).

Besides Computer Sciences, he holds a degree in Economics and Finance from Nottingham Trent University in the UK. This background allows him to take an integrated approach to the technical, marketing and financial aspects of Internet promotion, in order to maximize the return on investment (ROI) of the SEO and the SEM (Search Engine Marketing) campaigns of his customer portfolio.

With more than 20 years of experience, Gabriele has developed and applied SEO in over 200 projects, the majority of which related to the hotel and tourism sectors, developing search engine visibility for leading companies including Roberto Naldi Collection, Boscolo Hotels Group, Boscolo Tours, The Dedica Anthology Hotels.

He was the SEO Specialist for post-graduate e-learning training organised by BAICR Sistema Cultura (Consortium of Archives and Libraries of the Roman Cultural Institutes) in partnership with the University of Rome - Tor Vergata.

Gabriele teaches Digital Strategy and Internet Marketing while also performing at concerts and festivals as a professional jazz pianist in Italy and abroad. He has issued jazz recordings, featuring both as performer and as producer and arranger.
